Belli Skincare

Believe the hype people. Belli Skincare’s Complete Acne Control Kit is one of the only regimens on the market that is specifically made for pregnant women suffering from hormonal acne (like me). Over the past month it has given my skin a complete overhaul for the better and I am eternally grateful. Checkout my skincare routine below and see what all the fuss is about.

Step 1: Anti-Blemish Facial Wash (Lactic Acid, Green Tea, Cucumber)
When: I use this both morning and night after removing my makeup with my Makeup Eraser—readers that are feeling generous should know that I am interested in a second one in black or purple. Just FYI. 😉
Pros: This lightweight gel wash really makes my skin feel clean. It has a soft citrus smell which I normally don’t care for, but it isn’t overwhelming. I love that my face doesn’t feel dry after washing.
Cons: This is me being nit-picky, but I wish it produced more suds!

Step 2: Fresh Start Pre-Treatment Scrub (Green Tea, Ginseng, Peppermint Oil)
When: I use this both morning and night after washing. I feel like exfoliating really allows my skin to absorb whatever comes after—treatments, moisturizers and makeup alike.
Pros: I absolutely love the texture of this scrub. The micro-beads are not too rough, but not so gentle that you feel as if you’re not exfoliating. My skin feels wonderful after I rinse this off. Bonus? You can also use it on your body. It has a minty smell that’s sort of reminiscent of toothpaste, but surprisingly I really enjoy it.
Cons: N/A

Step 3: Healthy Glow Facial Hydrator (Vitamin C, Grapeseed, Chamomile)
When: I only use this in the morning after exfoliating and let it settle for about 15 minutes before applying my primer/makeup.
Pros: Even though it’s incredibly lightweight, just one pump is enough for my entire face.
Cons: The citrus scent is particularly overbearing in this moisturizer and I don’t care for it. Also, my skin feels strange after using it—not dry but just a little stiff. Does that make sense?

Step 4: Acne Control Spot Treatment (Colloidal Sulfur)
When: I only use this at night if I have any blemishes or feel like any might be forming.
Pros: Again, a little goes a long way here. Just a small dab of product is all you need. My pimple size and redness is always decreased by morning!
Cons: N/A
